Standing here with you tonight Thinking of the reasons why You always seem to come and go Is there something I don't know If you don't want it anymore You can go and close the door But don't ask me to beg for you 'cause that's one thing that I can't do I'm spinning round and round and I'm trying to figure it out I'm spinning round and round and I think I'm losing it now Honey lips and perfect smile I haven't seen them for awhile I don't know how we got so bad In a storm and made of glass If you don't want it anymore You can go and close the door But don't ask me to beg for you 'cause that's one thing that I can't do I'm spinning round and round and I'm trying to figure it out I'm spinning round and round and I think I'm losing it now

Shot Down 02:25
The man is on the run But he don't have a gun He put his up his hands But no one understands Shot down Shot down Shot down Shot down Though it wasn't right Still they sleep at night Blood is on their hands He never had a chance Shot down Shot down Shot down Shot down
3.
Want 03:41
I wanna know how it feels I wanna know if its real I wanna stare at the sky And lose track of the time I wanna look in the sun I wanna have some fun I wanna see what becomes When it's all said and done I wanna swim in the sea I wanna make believe I wanna see the light Shine through the night Into my darkened room To take away the gloom To make me feel new I need it to come soon I wanna know how it feels I wanna know if its real I wanna see what becomes When it's all said and done

Listen to the girl As she takes on half the world Moving up and so alive In her honey dripping beehive Beehive, It's good, so good, it's so good, so good Walking back to you Is the hardest thing that I can do That I can do for you, for you I'll be your plastic toy I'll be your plastic toy, for you Eating up the scum Is the hardest thing for me to do Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey Just like honey

about

Chicago’s Triangle Rain Club embrace the sound and aesthetic of the Velvet Underground and bands they inspired, namely the Jesus and Mary Chain, early Cure, and ‘90s shoegaze. The shoegaze revival, in fact, is quite the commodity these days, especially amongst the mid-twenties set. Triangle Rain Club leader Austin Smith explains the genre’s appeal to his generation. “Shoegaze at its finest feels dangerous, like it could all fall apart, but there’s a beauty in it. It’s all about pushing the limits of what a pop song could be.” Pushing limits comes naturally to the group on their debut EP Close The Door. The title track marries an infectious slow-burning Dinosaur, Jr. melody with sharp, spikey feedback that recalls Austin, Texas fellow travelers Ringo Deathstarr. The rambunctious “Shot Down,” takes a “Roadrunner” riff down a lost highway plagued with Mary Chain nihilism. Elsewhere, the downbeat “Want” is a comedown song worthy of Big Star’s “Kangaroo” or the Velvets magical “Sunday Morning.” A faithful cover of “Just Like Honey,” wraps up the all-too-short EP with a knowing wink.
